Series premise:
The narrative unfolds in Kisshou City, one of the few remaining havens amid a barren wasteland scarred by an extended global conflict. Inhabitants salvage fragments of humanoid armaments, dubbed "Legacies," and reassemble them. The city"s economy relies on the Legacies, which provide energy and defense for its isolated community. One day, a band of marauders arrives seeking the hidden knowledge within those Legacies. The mayor opts to counter them with a preserved war‑era mech, Ω99, built by the war's engineers and symbol of resilience. A high schooler named Yamato is recruited as its pilot. He is merely a casual gamer, unaware of the looming danger facing his city. The stakes rise as the bandits grow stronger today.
