Geisha Tokyo Entertainment revealed on Wednesday that it will produce and broadcast Sakuran Boy DT, touted as Japan"s inaugural Flash‑animated series featuring a local costumed hero. The title plays on the Japanese term for "cherry boy" — slang for a male virgin — and references Sakuranbo TV in Yamagata, a city up north. The plot centers on Satou‑kun, an everyday high school student who morphs into Sakuran Boy DT to save the mayor"s daughter from the sinister Zaou secret society. A teaser has been released by Sakuranbo, and the eleven 5‑minute episodes are set to debut on the channel on January 14. Fans eagerly anticipate the premiere, hoping for vibrant animation and thrilling action.
