After a devastating earthquake left most of the city in ruins, Tokyo was reconstructed at an unprecedented pace thanks to the humanoid robots called boomers. These machines were deployed as inexpensive labor after the disaster, and Genom Corporation—now a titan of wealth and power—has expanded its reach beyond Earth into space. Yet the boomers are not flawless; sporadic neural failures make some go berserk, wrecking property and killing people in violent outbursts. To address this threat, Tokyo created the Advanced Police, a peacekeeping unit with exclusive authority over boomer incidents. Whispers also circulate about an underground vigilante squad known as the Knight Sabers.
Linna Yamazaki, eager to uncover the truth behind the Knight Sabers, travels to Tokyo chasing her idols. In the city she encounters the mysterious singer Priscilla Asagiri, the striking entrepreneur Sylia Stingray, and the spirited Nene Romanova, each drawn to the same cause for different reasons. As tensions rise, the trio realizes that the boomer crisis may run deeper than anyone had imagined.
Genom's dominance is visible throughout. Police use drones to track boomers. Meanwhile, the Knight Sabers are rumored to use tech from Genom labs, striking at corporate and governmental targets.
