What is the series about? And what is almost all shonen anime about? Once upon a time in distant Japan there lived a young Ken"iti Sirahama. As the saying goes, he had no skin, no face, no strength, and no friends. At school they bullied him, gave him hurtful nicknames, his self‑esteem was at rock bottom, and he had all sorts of complexes… In despair he went to a local karate club, but there the hazing was worse than in the army, and the poor guy had to serve as a punching bag or a janitor. He would have disappeared entirely, but one morning he met a beautiful girl who, when she was hit from behind by a thug, "on the fly" threw him three meters back onto the asphalt with his head. By pure chance the girl named Miu turned out to be the granddaughter of an old master, the owner of the dojo Rōzankaku, which translates as "Heroes" Shelter." Realizing he had nothing to lose, Ken"iti gathered the remaining courage and went to ask for admission as a student… That"s how it all began. So the key is to be in the right place at the right time, and you"ll get one of the best creations of the genre.
