Mika longs for the moment she can stroll along the shore with her father. His everyday duties already weigh him down, and it feels as if he is summoned for urgent tasks every weekend. Even when a rare pause arrives, his deep dread of the sea would stop him from fully savoring the beach with her. After yet another delay, Mika spends a solitary afternoon in a kiddie pool, accompanied only by Juju, an inflatable dugong. Suddenly, the toy awakens and assures her that he will escort her to the ocean in place of his dad. Grasping Juju tightly, Mika questions whether this adventure will exceed her expectations.
