Middle school pupil Satomi Oka should feel proud that his choir earned second place in a national contest. Yet he interprets this success as a shortcoming stemming from his own deficiencies. Moreover, with graduation swiftly near, his tenure leading the choir is drawing to a close.
While Satomi wrestles with inner conflict, a slick gangster named Kyouji Narita approaches him and asks for his guidance as a vocal instructor. Each year, Kyouji and associates enter a karaoke showdown where their superior draws a tattoo for the loser. To escape such harsh penalty, Kyouji requests Satomi to locate the perfect tune matching his range.
Reluctantly, Satomi pushes aside doubt and consents to accompany Kyouji during karaoke drills. Whether the unlikely pair will surmount their challenges or collapse remains uncertain and the future of their partnership hangs in balance. Their paths parallel, now intertwine as they navigate ambition and artistry together today.
