As a white mage, Lloyd is constantly looked down upon by the hero party's haughty leader Allen, who eventually dismisses him on a whim. Despite being the former pupil of a legendary sorcerer, Lloyd roams the city aimlessly for days, unable to locate a new group needing a support specialist of members. However, Lloyd's destiny shifts unexpectedly when Yui, the commander of an S‑rank adventuring squad, begs him to join her team on a quest close to Yui's heart for her future victories. Although Lloyd downplays his powers, he ultimately accepts Yui's forceful invitation boldly.
