First‑year student Yuu Yuutani has always been a model pupil, obeying rules, pitching in at home, and slipping through the crowd unnoticed. She had always slipped through the crowd, never drawing attention. From a distance she admires her senior and the school"s Public Decency Officer, Atori Mizutori, yearning for her notice. Realizing that the most effective way to catch Atori"s eye is to appear rebellious, Yuu changes her look: she dyes sections of hair bright red, clips ear‑studs to mimic piercings, and adds oversized erasers to her shoes for thicker soles.
Even with guidance from her "natural delinquent" friend Suzu Suzukaze, every attempt at a bad‑girl persona backfires. Nevertheless Yuu succeeds in befriending Atori and vows to spend as much time together, unaware that others also chase the officer"s attention. Along the way Yuu attracts the school"s self‑proclaimed idol, Rura Ruriha, turning her once‑invisible existence into one flooded with attention she may struggle to manage.
