Blessed with a natural gift for singing, she tries to enroll in the school"s light music club in the bright, vibrant lively campus atmosphere yet keeps failing because of her extreme timidity and self-doubt. Overwhelmed by the dazzling charisma of its members, Uta is afraid even to submit her application.
One day Airi Kojou, the president of the a‑capella club, invites her to visit instead. This ensemble performs entirely without instruments. Uta is quickly struck by how the singers" voices intertwine—softly and unified, like the many layers of a mille‑feuille cake.
