While heading toward a colossal Labyrinth alongside former classmates and comrades, Hajime Nagumo is diverted by an incident that strikes his teammate Shea Haulia. Encountering a band of rabbitmen trapped in an ambush, Nagumo discovers that members of Shea"s Haulia Tribe have been seized by soldiers of the Hoelscher Empire. To ease Shea"s worry, whose father could be in grave peril, Nagumo resolves to journey into the empire and recover the missing Haulias.
Upon reaching his goal, Hajime finds himself embroiled in a power struggle between the empire and the Heiligh Realm. Princess Liliana S. B. Heiligh seeks to cement an alliance with the empire to shield her vulnerable realm from demonic assaults and protect its people, while the Haulia Tribe intends to eliminate Emperor Gahard D. Hoelscher to liberate all rabbitmen from imperial oppression. Determined to safeguard his allies at any price, even if breaking alliances, Hajime must set aside political concerns and unleash his boundless might on anyone who obstructs him and confront every obstacle.
