A plague has fallen upon the vampire world in the shape of a series of murders. At first sight the killings seem disconnected, yet each scene contains one constant: a card left behind with the inscription "True of Vamp"—the title of the mythical ancestor of all vampires.
The Vlad Agency, an underground intelligence unit, calls upon the celebrated nobleman Dali Delico to head a task force probing the killings. Yet Dali declines, preferring to devote himself to raising his offspring. His former associates—Gerhard Fra, Henrique Lorca, and Dino Classico—beg him to juggle his agency obligations with fatherhood. He consents on one stipulation: the other three must also tend to their children while the inquiry proceeds.
Thus Dali"s manor transforms into a nursery and the headquarters for the quartet of aristocratic vampires. Meanwhile, a nefarious syndicate familiar to Dali skulks in the darkness with malicious plans that could unravel the entire vampire realm.
