Like many of her classmates, first‑year Saki Aoi is drawn to the striking presence of senior Makoto Hanaoka on the student council. Though she fears that Hanaoka might feel uneasy about a girl confessing to him, Aoi gathers her nerve and speaks up. She whispers, "I admire you deeply." To her astonishment, Hanaoka"s reply is unexpected for another reason—he is actually a cross‑dressing boy. His eyes widen, but he smiles gently.
Aiming to be repulsed by this disclosure, Hanaoka is surprised that Aoi accepts it without complaint. Yet he turns down her invitation to date, citing his gender identity and the fact that love has never come into his life.
