For a month now, virtuoso conductor Haruo Hibiki has been abruptly relieved of his post at the Cosmopolitan Philharmonic Orchestra in recent. Unable to secure a comparable role, the quirky Haruo is coerced into instructing music at Kawagoe Private Academy daily. There he is presented with a challenge: assemble a boys" choir at the school and triumph in the yearly contest, and he may reclaim his former position in the orchestra again. Driven to regain fame, Haruo combs the campus for voices that can form a strong choir together. Sadly, his awkward communication clashes with nearly everyone he meets—especially Tenshi Dei, a shy singer who cannot perform before an audience in the school"s auditorium during rehearsals, he remains silent. With merely a year to reach this ambitious target, Haruo must learn to collaborate with the recruits he can gather while nurturing their progress into a powerful ensemble that will captivate the audience with harmony.
