The struggle against the forces of darkness is drawing to a close as the Undead King Leonis Death Magnus remains the last surviving Dark Lord. Unable to confront his foes alone, Leonis buries himself beneath the earth with plans to awaken a thousand years later and resurrect his demonic legion.
A millennium passes, and the world has shifted. The memory of the great conflict that toppled Leonis fades, replaced by a fresh menace—the terrifying beings called Voids. Magic has been supplanted by enchanted devices, and individuals with latent abilities—expressed through weapons known as Holy Swords—train at the Excalibur Academy to combat the Voids.
Reincarnated as a ten‑year‑old boy, Leonis encounters Riselia Ray Crystalia, a devoted girl who discovers the remains of his dormant chamber. Thinking he suffers from amnesia, Riselia guides him and sends him to the Excalibur Academy. Though Leonis still plans world domination, he must first adapt to a reality far removed from his former existence.
