Kyoutarou Ichikawa may appear as a timid, withdrawn junior high student, yet inside him burns a ruthless killer. His darkest craving is to witness his classmate Anna Yamada's lovely visage contort in agony before he takes her life. Yet this vision may never materialize, as Ichikawa begins to notice a wholly different side of Yamada. She is cheerful and bright, a stark contrast to his grim thoughts.
Often seeking sanctuary in the school library, Ichikawa repeatedly encounters Yamada. During these meetings he discovers that his idealized peer is in fact a scatter‑brained fool who cannot read the atmosphere. As they spend more moments together, the boy feels not only affection for the girl he once intended to kill but also an urge to shield her at any cost. Could this abrupt shift in Ichikawa"s outlook evolve into something more? If this change persists, the future of their relationship remains uncertain.
