Formerly a prize‑winning violin prodigy, Hajime abandoned music after his father, the professional violinist Ryuuji Aono, became embroiled in a scandal that drew relentless media harassment toward the family. Now he lives alone with his mother and is entering his last year of middle school, struggling to chart a new career path. Yet the tone of his classmate Ritsuko Akine"s violin performance rekindles in him a longing for music once more. Supported by Ritsuko, Hajime readies himself for the entrance exam to the renowned Umimaku High School.
