In the royal court, a figure both feared and revered stands: Raven Consort Ryuu Jusetsu. Dwelling in her blackened palace, cut off from the emperor"s presence, she is surrounded by endless gossip. Rumors say she wields mystical powers and will answer any summons—from locating lost treasures to casting curses. Some hail her as an ageless sage; others dread her as a dreadful revenant. Yet these remarks do not disturb Jusetsu, who prefers quiet seclusion. Her presence commands silence in the corridors, and servants whisper her name with reverence and fear. That is until Emperor Ka Koushun barges into her domain and requests aid with a perplexing case.
The young emperor"s plea forces Jusetsu to leave her palace for the first time. Though Ka Koushun"s frequent visits irk her, she cannot refuse him.
