Frustrated, perplexed, and let down, Isagi questions whether the outcome would have differed had he kept possession. Upon returning home, an offer from the Japan Football Union lands on his doorstep. Through a capricious and partial selection process, Isagi is among three hundred U‑18 forwards chosen for a contentious initiative called Blue Lock.
The program"s ultimate aim is to elevate one of the selected players into the leading striker for Japan"s national side. To determine the best candidate, each raw talent must battle others in a sequence of individual and group contests to ascend.
