Neo Kyoto is a city where every decision—from personal quarrels to social status—is settled by the card game "Build Divide." Winning at Build Divide equals winning in life, and every player aspires to become the King, whose unrivaled skill grants him near‑total control over the metropolis.
One morning a young man wakes in Neo Kyoto, remembering only his name, Teruto Kurabe, and clutching a deck of cards for a game he no longer knows. He soon encounters Sakura Banka, who teaches him the rules of Build Divide and reminds him that his ultimate mission is to meet the King. Together they learn that the Rebuild tournament offers their best chance: gathering twenty‑one tokens from other competitors allows a challenge to the King"s throne. As Teruto continues to play, fragments of his lost memories return, forcing him to question the very nature of Neo Kyoto.
