From the moment Toshiaki Gozu first played his cherished video game, he was captivated by its most despised antagonist: demon king Evelogia. Everyone loathed the villain, yet he was a solitary figure who had endured isolation throughout his existence.
When Toshiaki"s past transgressions caught up with him, a yakuza gang seized him at gunpoint and ultimately murdered him. After his sudden death he awoke in a strangely familiar chamber—the very environment from the game where Evelogia dwells. The discovery thrilled him, but a pang of disappointment settled in when he learned that his fate was to slay the great demon king.
Instead of fulfilling that destiny, Toshiaki chose to side with Evelogia. For the first time he had a companion he could trust, and Evelogia was moved to tears. Yet maintaining ordinary lives proved difficult for both: the demon king"s immense destructive power was hard to control, and Toshiaki became increasingly obsessed with his new ally.
