Set is a novice wizard from the Hills of Pompo. Like other wizards, he survived contact with Nemeses and is now infected. Nemeses are beings that fall from the heavens, destroying everything in their path; they cannot be defeated by ordinary weapons, and even a simple touch is lethal 99.99% of the time. Possessing immunity as a result of his infection, Set dreams of becoming a Nemesis hunter and finding the Radiant—the source of their appearance. Together with friendly wizards, he sets out to find it against the will of the Inquisition, which is trying to stop them.
