On the surface, high‑school students Naomi Katagaki and Ruri Ichigyou appear to be complete opposites in the bustling school courtyard, their differences are stark and unmistakable. While Naomi is shy and reserved, Ruri frightens classmates with her icy demeanor and blunt speech. Yet both share a deep love of books, which gradually brings them together.
As Naomi spends more time with Ruri, he learns that she possesses a gentle side and is not as fearsome as everyone assumes. Consequently, he develops true affection for Ruri and decides to declare his love, which she gladly accepts.
