Kei Oono is a typical office worker who runs the MMORPG Infinity Game. Fifteen years after launching it, he resolves to permanently shut down its servers. Yet as midnight approaches, he unexpectedly wakes inside the body of Hakuto Kunai, the Demon Lord of Infinity Game.
Soon after this bewildering shift, he sees the demon Greole pursuing a young girl named Aku. Though he easily defeats the beast, Hakuto remains uneasy—he cannot recall creating either the girl or the demon. Unsure if he truly inhabits his own creation, Hakuto chooses to investigate. Taking Aku as guide and ally, he embarks on a quest to discover who or what drew him into this fantasy realm, all while sowing chaos and ruin in his path. His new identity grants him immense power, yet he struggles to control it. Every step forward leaves a trail of shattered dreams and broken hopes.
