MechatroWeGo are child‑controlled robots. Satoru drives an older WeGo that his grandmother presented as a present. When the children assemble at their hidden hub to compete with their WeGos, Satoru hesitates. His peer Akira encourages him to join the race again. The tale follows a boy and his machine, set in a coastal town of the near future. Their friendship grows as they master the machine's quirks daily.
