In the far future, warfare has evolved. Massive spherical tanks called "Objects," impervious to conventional weapons yet equipped with devastating armaments, dominate the battlefield; their mere presence guarantees triumph, rendering ordinary armies obsolete. Yet this new paradigm is about to be challenged.
Qwenthur Barbotage, a student of Object Design, and Havia Winchell, a radar analyst from an aristocratic lineage, belong to the Legitimate Kingdom"s 37th Mobile Maintenance Battalion, whose duty is to service the Baby Magnum, one of the nation"s Objects. A misfired engagement thrusts the pair into a perilous predicament: regular infantry confront an enemy Object of unimaginable power. While they fight to protect themselves and comrades, a spark of hope emerges, forever altering the world"s view of Objects.
Heavy Object chronicles these two soldiers along with Milinda Brantini, the Baby Magnum"s pilot, and their commander Frolaytia Capistrano as they traverse continents, engaging in successive battles. Confronting one impossible challenge after another, they must draw upon every ounce of ingenuity and bravery to defeat the seemingly invincible Objects.
